Transitioning from MDGs to SDGs
This is a partnership between UNA Tanzania an UNA Sweden, with funding from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) through Forum Syd. The partnership goes back to 2007 through the implementation of the Lake Victoria Initiative.
The project Transition from MDGs to SDGs, also known as Jipange, aims to “advance the transition from the MDG to the SDGs (Post 2015 development framework) through increased engagement of civil society, local government authorities and the respect of human rights.
Advanced Family Planning Project
The United Nations Association (UNA) of Tanzania, with support from the John Hopkins University’s Centre for Communication Programmes, (JHU-CCP) through the Advanced Family Planning (AFP) project is implementing a programme to promote access to family planning services and supplies in the Lake and Western Zone, working closely with the Government, Private Sector and Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs).
In 2015, UNA Tanzania is focusing on budget advocacy, capacity building for Family Planning providers and access to friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, including Family Planning, for Higher Learning Institutions in Mwanza and Shinyanga.
